The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has announced a new financial assistance scheme for skilled workers of the country PM Vishwakarma Yojana has been launched on the occasion of Independence Day from 15th August 2023.
The full name of this scheme is PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana in his speech from Red Fort on Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that this scheme will be launched on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti with a budget of Rs 13,15000 crore.

The main objective of launching the Vishwakarma Kushaliya Samman Yojana is to provide financial assistance to many artisans and small entrepreneurs to help them grow their businesses.
The Cabinet of Ministers at the Center approved the scheme on August 16 with a budget of ₹ 13,000 crore. The scheme has been implemented for five years from 2023 24 to 2017 28.
The scheme also aims to enable artisans to provide better quality products and services. Through this scheme, artisans and artisans will be connected to large business networks across the country and the world.
Benefit of the scheme
Under this scheme, artisans and artists will be given certificates and identification cards. Financial assistance in the form of collateral free enterprise development loans will be given to targeted beneficiaries under this scheme.
They will get a loan up to Rs one lakh in the first phase and repay it then they will be eligible for a loan up to ₹ 2,00,000 at a subsidized rate of interest. will be up to and will be provided to the banks in advance

What other benefits will be eligible
Another major objective of the scheme is to provide scale upgradation to provide appropriate training opportunities for traditional skills and enhancement, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said in a media interaction. The artisans will be given basic and advanced level training.The trainees will be given daily allowance of Rs.500 during the training period and financial assistance up to Rs.15000 will also be given to purchase the necessary equipment.
Under this scheme, the target is to cover five lakh families in the first year, during the five-year period, 30 lakh artisan families will benefit from the scheme.

Mobile and Aadhaar Verification Worker has to do Mobile Authentication and Aadhaar eKYC
Registration Form The artisan has to fill the registration form and submit the application. The beneficiaries will be registered through the Common Service Center at Gram Panchayat and City Municipal level and also through online application through the portal.
PM Vishwakarma Certificate Worker has to download PM Vishwakarma Digital Identity Card and Certificate
Finally the artisan will have to apply for the scheme components based on his/her skills. As per the government website, the beneficiaries will get half Shubh after three stage verification will be done as per the rules then they will be registered for PM Vishwakarma scheme.
