Purpose of the scheme.

💫 1. Applicant beneficiary should be sixty (60) years of age or above.
💫2. Applicant should not have son aged 21 years or above.
💫3. Disabled applicant should be more than 45 years of age and disability should be more than 75%.
💫4. If the beneficiary’s son is 21 years (adult) but is mentally unstable or suffering from serious illness like cancer, TB then the destitute elderly can get the benefit of the financial assistance scheme of the state government.
💫5. Beneficiary should be a permanent resident of Gujarat state for at least more than 10 (ten) years.
Income Limit for Availment of Destitute Elderly Aid Scheme.
Income limit is fixed by Niyamak Samaj Suraxa Khatu of Gujarat Government. The annual income of the beneficiary should not exceed 150000 (one and a half lakh rupees) for urban area and 120000 (one lakh twenty thousand) for rural area to benefit from this scheme.
Benefit available under the scheme.
Under Vrudh Sahay Yojana Gujarat, if the age of the beneficiary is 60 years or more, Rs 1000 (one thousand rupees) is deposited directly into the bank account of the beneficiary through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). And the beneficiaries whose age limit is 80 years or above, will get assistance of Rs 1250 per month.
Viklang pension yojana (ASD) means this scheme for maintenance of destitute disabled. 1000/- per month will be given as pension assistance under this scheme if the age of disabled beneficiary is more than 45 years and disability is more than 75%.

The following documents are required to apply online and avail the scheme.
- Proof of age of the beneficiary (any one of School Leaving Certificate-LC, Birth Certificate, Medical Certificate).
- Income Certificate (Income Certificate).
- Certificate of residence in Gujarat Proof of Residence (any one of Ration Card/Electricity Bill/Aadhaar Card/Electoral Card).
- Aadhaar card (Aadhar card).
- Certificate of disability (certificate of civil surgeon) if beneficiary is disabled.
- Having a son above 21 years of age, but if physically disabled then from a specialist doctor showing the percentage of disability.
- If suffering from TB Cancer, Civil Surgeon’s certificate to be produced along with the application.
- Certificate of no son above 21 years of age.
- Copy of first page of bank passbook.
