NMMS (National Means Cum Merit Scholarship) Scheme 2024.
NMMS (National Means Come Merit Scholarship) Scheme 2024 Announced: National Means Come Merit Scholarship 2024 for students studying in class VIII with the aim to enable bright students from poor economic status in the state to complete their studies up to class 12 and reduce the drop out rate in secondary and higher secondary schools. The scheme named is implemented by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The examination will be conducted by the State Examination Board Gandhinagar in the near future to select the beneficiary students

Student Eligibility:
- To avail the benefit of this scheme one should have the following qualifications. Students studying in government primary schools, local body schools (District Panchayat/Mahanagarpalika/Municipality School) and Granted Primary Schools in the current academic year can get the benefit of this scholarship exam.
- General category and OBC category student should have secured minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in class VII.
- Note: Students of Private Schools Private School / Self Finance, School Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and residential schools run by Central / State Government schools where accommodation, meals and study facilities are provided will not be eligible to fill the application form in this examination.
Income limit
The annual income of the parents of the candidates should not exceed ₹ 3,50,000 as determined for the NMMS examination. A certified copy of the annual income statement of the parent must be attached with the application form of the student. (Example of official authorized by Govt should be attached)
Examination Fee
- The examination fee for general category EWS and OBC category students will be Rs 70 Examination fee.
- for Physically Handicapped, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students will be Rs.50.
- Service charge has to be paid separately Fee paid will not be refundable The examination fee has to be paid through online mode
Scholarship amount and payment rules
- 1000 rupees per month and ₹12,000 per annum per annum for four years to the meritorious students in the district-wise category-wise fixed quota after examination.
- Scholarships will be available to eligible students. (Total quota of the state is 5097 students).
- 12000 rupees assistance in class 9th.
- 12 thousand rupees assistance in class 10th.
- 12000 rupees assistance in class 11th. And
- 12 thousand rupees assistance in class 12.
- The total assistance will be Rs 48 thousand for four years.

- The entire form has to be filled in English Go to the official website and click on Apply Online.
- Click on Apply Now against National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme Class VIII.
- An application form will open in front of you in which fill all the correct information shown.
- In which it is mandatory to write the name of the student only and only according to the Aadhaar card, write the Aadhaar number and upload the Aadhaar card. Apart from this, the details of the student have to be filled on the basis of U – DISE NUMBER.
- DISE NUMBER of the school has to be entered for the school details.
- Now by clicking on submit your data will be saved here application number will be generated which has to be saved.
- Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Physical Handicap category are required to upload the certificate number, date and income statement as well as a copy of the certificate in the form on the website.
- Now click on upload photo signature at the top of the page.
- Here type your application number and your date of birth then click on submit.
- Photo and signature are to be uploaded here.
- Finally clicking on confirm will submit your application.
- Now click on Print Application and Fee Challan.
- Pay the fee online.
- Your application will be accepted only after paying the fee.
- By following the above steps your application will be submitted online.
